About Our Team

Dr. Craig and Barbara Murakami first visited Cambodia in 2000 and were captured by the country and people of Cambodia. They decided to find a way to help the Cambodian people and their medical system. They were fortunate to meet and work with Dr. Theavy Mok, one of the few plastic surgeons in Cambodia at that time. Their first mission began in 2006 and currently continues on a yearly basis with Dr. Sam Most as our team leader. We treat patients with congenital ear malformations(microtia), cleft/lip and palate, and head and neck deformities caused by malignancy or trauma. The NW Medical Volunteers organization was started in 2017 to help fund these missions.
