MISSION 2026
In January of 2026, NWMV worked with Smile Cambodia and the Standish Foundation to perform 52 surgical operations and screen more than 130 patients. Using 5 operating tables, over 160 hours of surgery were preformed. The team also provided hands-on operative training to plastic surgery residents and surgical staff. In addition, NWMV conducted a day of educational lectures and a hands on surgical microtia laboratory for surgery residents, using synthetic rib models developed by members of our team from the University of Washington. We also donated critical medications and medical equipment to Smile Cambodia and the Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital helping to strengthen their capacity to deliver ongoing patient care.
